Here marks the beginning ( it's my first blog post ever! ) and am excited to share my experience with a celeb from the neighboring country. She is the beautiful Nora Danish and she was here for mio TV's Ramadan program.
We picked her up from the airport and off to the Royal Plaza on Scotts, where she stayed in a corporate suite. I gotta say, it was pretty sweet that suite! (no pun)
Oh yes! sitting here make you feel "like a boss"Que. nora danish, all make-ed up and ready to go. She walked in with her curly thing-a-ma-jiggy on her fringe, its funny. Way to light the room up!
The day started out with a humble interview and as the hours progressed, and the interviews kept coming, 'humble' became an understatement.
I thought to myself being a celeb is in fact more tiring than it seemed.
Next up was the a scripted interview for the viewers of mio TV. No problems here reading a short script for the experienced actress of several Malaysia popular dramas and films.
yea, I wish I was better at Malay to really understand what she is saying. She's good nonetheless. (thumbs up!)
Camera's rolling as we watch the interview unfold in the room!
Bloopers! Adi Putra and Nora Danish laugh it out.
At this point, the interviews were done, the cameras stopped rolling and the artist were ready to leave for their rooms or spend their free time shopping! Well, you know which one's which. I took this brief window of opportunity to get a quickie (not like that) 5 minutes portraiture session with her, to which she kindly agrees! YES!
With not much time and preparation, I decided the shoot was to use available soft/diffused light from the windows that had blinds on them. I lifted the blinds to let in more light while still diffusing it a bit.
She quickly took position without me directing. Must have been the years of experience of photo shoots for magazines.
Shooting her was like stepping in front of those sliding glass doors in the shopping centre and and by some magical will, opened by itself. She felt comfortable in front of the camera with every pose she did, my job was simple.
I simple released the shutter. telling her where to face and whatnot. It was an interesting experience to me and i am thankful for it. here are a few from that session:
